Goddard Smallsats: Expanding What's Possible
Welcome
Welcome to the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) SmallSat 2023 Virtual Exhibit!
GSFC looks forward to interacting with the SmallSat community, so please stop by our booth (76) for a chat. We are interested in hearing about new SmallSat technologies, mission concepts, and ways we can partner whether it be science proposals, technology transfer, or employment. In the meantime, please enjoy browsing our virtual content to see what exciting contributions we have to this year's conference and learn more about what GSFC has to offer the community.
As we all continue to navigate through the aftermath of a global pandemic, Goddard has continued to push forward with our efforts to be a leader in the SmallSat revolution:
- We are nearing completion of a diverse set of SmallSat missions in Earth, Heliophysics and Astrophysics science. Two of which will be ready to launch later this year!
- We are formulating future Distributed Systems Missions (DSM), or Constellations, to achieve the next level of SmallSat science capability.
- We continue to invest in SmallSat technologies that enable DSM and "beyond LEO" missions.
What makes our approach to Constellations different? We are focusing on Goddard's strength in science and technology innovation to establish open architectures that would allow distributed satellite missions to form a network of capability to achieve transformational science and advance the exploration potential of the entire NASA ecosystem. This would include fostering partnerships with industry, academia, and other NASA centers and government agencies to realize the full potential of the architecture.
We invite you to visit our Event Calendar for information on Goddard-specific events at the conference. Be sure to also check out the other areas of our virtual exhibit for more information on Goddard missions, technologies, and publications. We also include interviews with Goddard team members so that you can hear firsthand what makes NASA one of the best places to work!
